Chelsea & Real Madrid 'Agrees £115million For Eden Hazard' (Sun)

With Madrid president Florentino Perez confirming his interest in the Belgian, it seemed the Spanish capital have acted quick as to finalize the deal.

Chelsea have accepted an offer of £115million pounds for the sale of Eden Hazard, a deal which is believed to worth 400,000 per week for the player.

Hazard have been heavily linked with the Spanish side but all efforts to sign him haven't been fruitful but with a year remaining in his contract and his inability to sign a new deal with Sarri's side, the London club have decided to cash on on their priced asset.

After the shock departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, Madrid have been in search for a player who would be able to take them to another level with both Neymar and Mbappe mooted as a heir though luring them away from Paris wouldn't be an easy task.

Gareth Bale have failed to live up to expectation since joining from Tottenham and irrespective of Ronaldo's departure, he haven't proved him self when given the chance. With Zidane having giving up on the Welshman, Hazard seemed the chosen one for the French coach.

Prior to the agreement with Chelsea, Madrid president Perez told the Sun some days ago that Hazard is the player he would love to have and said his club are doing everything possible to get him this year.

'We are working on a project to make people dream again, where we recover our hunger and ambition. I have already lived through this stage before.

'I have a dream that Hazard will arrive this year. Let's make a good team this year.

'I am very interested in him coming to Real Madrid and I am very hopeful that he will come this year. He's one of the great footballers.

'Last year we wanted him, but this year he only has one year left on his contract and it is easier.'

According to report, Chelsea will receive £100m and another £15m in add-ons for the Belgian playmaker.

Chelsea didn't have the best of season this year but that didn't stop Hazard  in reaching double figures. This year also is his beat year since signing from Lille as he went on to score 15 goals and providing 16 assists at the process.

He dropped a hint about his departure today though he wasn't direct with answers when asked to specify.

'Of course I can put aside (the speculation). How long do you know me now? You know how I am. I stay in that mode: thinking about football. After the final we see what happens.'

Chelsea are set to take on Arsenal at Baku on Wednesday in a Europa League final and the Belgian would hope to at least go out on a high by helping Maurizio Sarri Chelsea.
