Chelsea 4-1 Arsenal: Madrid-Bond Hazard Helps Chelsea To Clinch Europa Trophy


Eden Hazard scored two goals as a farewell gift to Chelsea who have been crowned the Europa League winners.

It was a match full of intensity and agility but Sarri's men came out on top with Olivier Giroud, Pedro Rodriguez and Hazard Brace helping Sarri to clinch his first ever career trophy.

Arsenal coach Unai Emery have been tagged the king of Europa after his exploits with Sevilla where he clinched it three straight times but Chelsea were in no mood to gift him his fourth title.

The match started with Chelsea at the front in the first 5 minutes but Emery's men took up the challenge and pressed them back.

Arsenal enjoyed most of their time on the ball and nearly took the lead when Lacazette was fouled in the Penalty Area. Chelsea escaped through the referee call but Arsenal kept on pushing harder.

Granit Xhaka nearly opened the scoring when his shot kissed the bar but Chelsea kept their head and played their game.

Eden Hazard who is set to exit the Blues after this final was a catalyst in Chelsea's attack though Olivier Giroud wasted two chances created by the Belgian.

The game ended 0-0 at first half with both teams contented on how they have defended and attacked.


Soon later after the second half had started, it was Chelsea who took the lead through a Olivier Giroud flying nodding. The French man have had enough and decided it's time to silence the noisy Gunnar's fans. Pedro set up Emerson who on the other hand crossed for Giroud to head home.

Arsenal tried to respond immediately but the worst was yet to come. Eden Hazard who have been kept quiet largely in the second half drippled passed his markers before setting up Pedro to score.

The match continued with Chelsea pushing for more goals and they got another in the 60th minute when Midtjylland-nile brought down Giroud in the Penalty area with the referee having no option but to give a penalty.

Hazard slotted home and the Blued led 3-0. Disgusted Emery couldn't believe what he was seeing from his men and he introduced Alex Iwobi in favour of Lucas Torreira who was seen crying as he was subbed off.


The Nigerian attacker responded immediately and scores one for the Gunnar's. Chelsea kept their nerves and punished the Gunnar's as they were looking for a fight back. With Arsenal pushing forward, Chelsea utilised that opportunity to make it 4-1 after Giroud steered a perfect cross for the on rushing Hazard to tap in home.

Chelsea kept on pushing to score more though Arsenal had their moments in the closing stage but the harm had already been done with the Blues coming out on top.

The match ended 4-1 in Chelsea's favour with Sarri seen jubilating for carrying his first ever trophy with the London side.
